I've been feeling bad lately for not blogging on here much. I can't help it, though, my relationship with Blogger could never compare to my passionate affair with Twitter. Although I'm still convinced not many people read this blog (or my other blog: http://mbsmusicmag.blogspot.com/), if you'd like to keep up-to-date with all of my ramblings, follow me on twitter! (@Booshette)
If you're new to twitter, or you just want more people to follow, here are some of my favorites (in no particular order).
@Blendetta -- An awesome blog, check them out! (blendetta.com)
@NMEradio -- The best radio station out there, listen live at http://www.nme.com/radio/player
@rustyrockets -- comedian Russell Brand (Some of the funniest tweets you'll ever read)
@glinner -- Graham Linehan (Creator of IT Crowd and other great shows)
@wossy -- Jonathan Ross
@tattydevine -- Tatty Devine (they make the best jewelry EVER) TattyDevine.com
@modcloth An awesome online clothing store -- ModCloth.com
@staringispolite My bro's twitter account -- He writes about tech-y things.
@shakeaway They make THE best milkshakes OF ALL TIME...If you're in the UK, check them out ASAP.
@lilyroseallen -- musician Lily Allen
@Mrs_O -- Companion to mrs-o.org, a website following the fashion of Michelle Obama
Ok, now that I've given you way too much information about Twitter, I bet you're wondering what finally managed to drag me back to blogger. It is this magnificent piece of work:
Kasabian - Vlad the Impaler from Kasabian on Vimeo.
Not only is this song amazing (download the full track for FREE for a limited time at kasabian.co.uk), but 2 of my favorite people are involved in the video. It stars the Mighty Boosh's Noel Fielding, and is directed by Richard Ayoade, of IT Crowd and Mighty Boosh fame.
I have yet to see a video by Richard Ayoade that I don't like. Here are some of my favorites:
Vampire Weekend -- "Oxford Comma"
The Last Shadow Puppets -- "My Mistakes Were Made for You"
The Last Shadow Puppets -- "Standing Next to Me"
P.S. -- If you're interested in a more in-depth discussion of the new Kasabian video, might I recommend checking out "Kasabian strikes again with Vlad the Impaler - and gets a little help from The Boosh" on Blendetta?

Booshy Awesomeness
From The Sun:
COMEDY lords JAMES CORDEN and MATHEW HORNE’s bid for big screen triumph is facing stiff competition from the team behind The Mighty Boosh.
While the Gavin And Stacey duo put the finishing touches to their Lesbian Vampire Killers project, the Boosh gang have just started shooting their debut film, Bunny And The Bull.
It is about two gambling addicts on a road trip and is directed by PAUL KING, who was behind all three Boosh series.
Newcomers EDWARD HOGG and SIMON FARNABY will take the starring roles, but JULIAN BARRATT and NOEL FIELDING feature too. Noel has just shot his cameo as a drunk, Spanish bull-fighter.
The IT Crowd star RICHARD AYOADE also appears.
It’s due next year and is likely to land in the summer time, shortly after Lesbian Vampire Killers.
The feature is being made with cutting-edge company Warp X films.
Imagine the oddly brilliant Being John Malkovich with a UK spin.
Fielding and Barratt are still working on a Mighty Boosh film proper, but have yet to confirm details of it.
One thing is certain — with Little Britain and RUSSELL BRAND included — Brit comics are doing us proud on both sides of the pond . . .

Goth Detectives Review
From thisislondon.co.uk:

"Fine and dandy: shaggy-haired Russell Brand and Noel Fielding perform their double act The Goth Detectives"

"Fine and dandy: shaggy-haired Russell Brand and Noel Fielding perform their double act The Goth Detectives"
Thank Goth for the Mighty Boosh and Brand
By Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard 29.07.08
Neither are really goths, neither are really detectives, but Russell Brand and Noel Fielding triumphed as their oddly-named occasional double act last night. It was clear from the rambling start that they were distinctly underrehearsed, but as co-hosts of this fundraiser for the Focus 12 drugs rehabilitation charity that helped ex-junkie Brand kick his addictions, they were sublimely shambolic.
The main planned element saw them solving the audience's problems, which made them more like skinny-trousered agony uncles than Satan-worshipping sleuths. The idea soon petered out, though there was much more entertainment to come, most of it involving silly strutting and sarcastic wisecracks at the expense of The Lion King and YouTube and greeted by screaming more redolent of Beatlemania than comedy gigs.
All the special guests were hits too. Never Mind The Buzzcocks host Simon Amstell's mirthful misanthropy struck a chord and James Corden and Mathew Horne from sitcom Gavin and Stacey workshopped some enthusiastically performed character-based routines - trendy teachers, happy clappy Christians, pretentious magicians - which were hardly radical, but boded well for their forthcoming BBC sketch show.
There had been talk of a Noel Gallagher cameo, yet his absence was hardly noticed as Fielding and Brand closed each half with more structured solo sets.
While Mighty Boosh lynchpin Fielding was solid, delivering his familiar fable about pursuing a unicorn to the ends of the earth only to discover that it was a horse with a Cornetto on its nose, Brand surpassed himself with his trademark blend of self-mockery and smutty braggadocio.
His best new material was inspired by his recent sojourn in America. Others might claim that they like the anonymity of working where they are not stars, Brand was frank enough to admit that he hated not being recognised.
This is a man who takes egocentricity to ludicrous extremes. Apparently the only thing he has ever Googled is his own name. There might have been controversy over here following his prank call to a crime hotline at a recent Northampton gig, but Brand's US career is rampant. He is due to host the MTV Awards and has various films in the pipeline.
His stand-up days may be numbered, which would be sad. It would give me great pleasure to announce that this preening dandy is wearing thin. Annoyingly he continues to be one of the most original, insightful comedians working today.

Teenage Cancer Trust Videos!
This happened back in April, but I'm just getting around to watching some of the vids now...
This first one is Noel Fielding reading out a letter from Russell Brand, parts of which he had never seen before. This makes for much hilarity, as parts of the letter are quite inappropriate. I think the best part of this video is Noel cracking up as he reads it...adorable.
Noel's take on Chavs, and other hilarious standup:
Noel's hatred of prawns:
Aaaand....the debut of the Boosh Band!!
Electro Boy (Live)
This is not a TCT video, but its Noel Fielding talking about the Mighty Boosh Festival and it makes me SOOO EXCITED!!!

More Hilarious Booshiness

Noel Fielding causes chaos backstage at NME Awards:
Mighty Boosh comic Noel Fielding caused chaos backstage when he jumped on TV presenter Nick Grimshaw's foot.
Poor Grimshaw, presenting C4's coverage of the NME Awards, told me: "The Doctors have said I've three broken toes." Ouch!
Shaggy-haired Noel, 24, who picked up Sexiest Male prize on the night, made me giggle when he said: "I think I look a bit like a goat - though women must like goats.
"It's great being sexiest, though. I can get up to all sorts - Russell Brand is going to be so jealous."
Sounds as though winning the award just might have given our Noel a big head.
This is great...I love especially how they say hes 24 and not 34...probably closer to how he looks, but nowhere near accurate :OP
And another:
Sexy Noel plans Mighty Boosh movie
Comedian Noel Fielding has been talking about winning the NME's sexiest male award and the possibility of a Mighty Boosh movie.
The skinny-jeans wearing Goth god, who also won the gong for best TV show, said: "It's ridiculous, how can I be sexiest male?
"I mean my mum and my girlfriend think I'm sexy, but other than that... everyone else is like 'he looks like a goblin to me'" - Noel Fielding"I mean my mum and my girlfriend think I'm sexy, but other than that... everyone else is like 'he looks like a goblin to me'."
Asked about the film, Noel said: "Ye there are rumours about a film.
"We've got an idea and some people want us to do it, so fingers crossed maybe the end of next year."
